“I scanned my parents' slides, up in the loft for thirty years. Seeing my mother young, on a screen, in colour — I was not remotely ready for it.”Diane R.Verified buyer · Portland, OR
Negatives, slides, 110 and 126 film — slide them in and watch the photograph appear straight away on the big screen. No computer, no software, and nothing posted to a stranger.

Thousands of family photographs sit asleep in shoeboxes. Not because anyone forgot them, but because there is nothing left in the house that can show them.
The slide projector went to the tip twenty years ago. The boxes stayed — in the loft or the cellar, perfectly intact and completely unviewable.
Colours drift towards red, the emulsion clouds, and damp does its work. Badly stored film loses a little more every year, and none of it comes back.
Your children and grandchildren look at everything on a phone. While these photographs stay on film, they will never see them.
Nothing to install, no cable to a computer, no account to create. It all happens on the device.
Place your negative, slide or 110 or 126 film in the matching holder, then slide it into the slot at the front.
The image appears live on the 7-inch screen. Adjust the exposure if the film is dark, press SCAN, and the photograph is saved as a JPEG in the built-in memory.
Plug the HD cable into the television to see them large, or the USB-C cable into a computer to move them across and send them to the whole family.
The sensor is 24 megapixels. The 48 megapixel setting is a software enlargement: the file gets bigger, but it holds no more real detail. We would rather say so here than let you find out after buying.
An important point about Super 8: this scans still frames, one at a time. It does not turn a reel of home movies into video. If you have cine reels to convert into film, you need a reel converter, not this scanner.

No memory card to buy: the scanner has 16 GB built in, which is several thousand photographs.

“A lab wanted $1.40 a slide. I had over six hundred. The scanner paid for itself the first weekend, and nothing left the house.”Alan H.Verified buyer · Manchester, UK

“The 7-inch screen changes everything. You actually see the photo before you keep it, without glasses and without guessing. My 82-year-old mother uses it on her own.”Ray T.Verified buyer · Brisbane, AU
